Russia has limited the purchase of foreign light industry

The Russian government has limited government purchases of foreign light industry products. This restriction does not apply to goods produced in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

According to the list of goods, foreign fabrics, outerwear and overalls, leather clothes, underwear, footwear, fur products and others are not allowed for purchases that are not related to the state defense order. "There is also a ban on the use of any materials or semi-finished products, except for Russian, in the manufacture of light industry goods supplied to meet federal needs," the explanatory note to the document says.
