From September, EurAsEC goods will be marked with a single sign

On August 2, the Commission of the Customs Union published a decision "On a single sign of product circulation on the market of the Member States of the Customs Union." The decision will come into force on September 2, 2011.

The single sign of product circulation on the market of the Member States of the customs union was developed in accordance with international agreements. Manufacturers (suppliers) of products can mark it with a single sign if it has passed all the procedures for assessing (confirming) conformity established by technical regulations of the TS in any of the countries of the TS. This fact must be confirmed by the documents provided for these forms of assessment.

The image of a single sign is a combination of three stylized letters "E", "A" and "C". They stand for Eurasian Conformity. The size of a single mark is determined by the manufacturer who has received the right to use it. Moreover, its sign size should not be less than 5 mm. A single sign can be made in any way that provides a clear and clear image throughout the entire service life of the product.

As for the rules for using a single sign, there are several of them. The sign must be applied to each unit of product, packaging and accompanying documentation. Its image should be one-color and contrast with the color of the surface on which it is applied. The place of application should be established by the technical regulation of the vehicle itself.
