The last weeks of December are the time for New Year's gifts. This year the Shoes Report magazine took part in the "Books as a Gift for Children" charity program, which is held annually by the "Illustrated Books for Little Blind Children" Foundation and the Russian company "Tochka Opor", a leader in the field of lighting solutions for fashion retail. The company's experts are regular authors of our magazine, presenting exclusive information, and speakers of the business program of the Euro Shoes exhibition
The idea of the New Year's Eve charity project is that money is spent not on the usual New Year's gifts for partners, but on children's books typed in tactile Braille, designed for writing and reading by blind and visually impaired people. The creation and production of these "embossed" books is a very expensive process, and children naturally look forward to books and are very happy with such gifts. The charitable action has been held by Tochka Opora for the fourth year already; Shoes Report magazine has become a participant in it for the first time. Pupils of the boarding school near Moscow Malakhovka received wonderful books.
Children with vision problems were not chosen by chance. The fact is that for many years the Tochka Opora company has been a partner of the All-Russian Society of the Blind, providing jobs and social support to blind and visually impaired people.
