Skechers beat Adidas

The Skechers USA brand ranked second in the U.S. sports shoe market. The share of Skechers USA in the quarter ended in March was 5%, which allowed the company to bypass Adidas (4,6%), as well as Asics and New Balance (4% each).

Nike and its Jordan brand remain the absolute leader: 62% of sports shoes sold in the USA were made by this company.

However, the growth of Skechers demonstrates that Americans increasingly prefer cheaper sports shoes that they may not use directly for running.
