The next show of the Chanel Métiers d'Art 2019-2020 collection will be held in Paris

After fashion shows in Salzburg, Rome and New York, the luxury brand returns with the Chanel Métiers d'Art 2019-2020 show in Paris. The show is scheduled for December 5, the exact location has not yet been determined, writes WWD.

The Métiers d'Art 2019-2020 collection was created with the right hand of the late Karl Lagerfeld Virgin Wijard, who took on the mission of the creative director of the Fashion House after the designer’s death in February. In France, the Chanel Métiers d'Art collection was last presented in 2016 at the opening of the Ritz.

The previous collection of the Métiers d'Art of the 2018-2019 season was shown at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2017, the collection was on display in Hamburg's hometown of Lagerfeld. For the first time, Lagerfeld presented this unique collection of clothes, shoes and accessories created by the masters of their own atelier of the Fashion House in 2002.

By the way, in September 2018 Fashion House Chanel began construction of a new building, which will house the studio Métiers d'Art in the suburbs of Paris, Oberviere. Construction should be completed by the 2020 year, the building will house the 26 studio, which is controlled by the fashion house through its subsidiary Paraffection.

These include Desrues jewelry atelier, Lemarié feather master's atelier, Maison Lesage and Atelier Montex embroidery atelier, Massaro shoe atelier, Maison Michel fashion atelier and Barrie cashmere atelier.

At the moment, Chanel is the only Fashion House to devote one of its Prêt-à-Porter collections entirely to the invaluable know-how of its workshops, which help to strengthen the prestige of French fashion and luxury worldwide.
