Spartoo goes offline

Spartoo, a French fashion retailer who started in 2006 as an online shoe store, goes offline.

Now the company sells footwear, clothing and accessories in about 20 European countries. In 2014, she launched a marketplace, thereby expanding its range to over 1000 brands and 70000 models.

Recently, its representatives announced that they are going to open 10 offline stores by December 2015, and by 2017 they plan to expand the network to 50 outlets. At the first stage, all stores will be located in France.

The first offline store was launched 5 months ago in Grenoble. Despite the fact that many offline stores of clothes, shoes and accessories are experiencing difficulties today, the first experience in offline sales was successful for Spartoo.

"The results showed that many shoppers still shop and use the complementarity of online and offline in the shopping process," said Spartoo CEO Boris Saragaglia.
