The threat of a resumption of quarantine and the closure of retail stores in Poland prompted the CCC Group to begin testing a new service in which goods ordered online will be delivered to the buyer's doorstep within 60 minutes, writes Worldfootwear.com.
“We figured that if a pizza can be at your home within a few tens of minutes, then why not offer the same fast shoe delivery?”, Says Konrad Jezerski, head of CCC's multichannel development department. The company is currently testing a shoe delivery service in 60 minutes in Warsaw, and if the results meet the expectations of the chain's management, such a service will appear in all major cities where CCC retail is represented.
“Our goal is to make online shopping more attractive and easy, which is especially important during a pandemic, and to overcome the barrier of standard delivery times, which many customers still consider too long. The 60 minute lead time is a response to these expectations, tailored to the needs, especially of the younger generation living in the here and now. This is their way of life, the way they want to shop and receive goods: right away. Our task is to adapt to the needs of the market. We are the first to pave the way because we know that it is always easier to remember and recommend a pioneer, ”added Konrad Jezerski.
Orders placed in Warsaw will now have the same day delivery filter. If this option is selected, the order will be transferred to the CCC store in the city center, which will be immediately notified to the courier. Delivered goods will be picked up at regular stores. The new service will be available in Warsaw in November. Next year, CCC plans to cut delivery times to 30-45 minutes.
