Timberland is a member of the VF Corporation's Support Program for American Footwear and Textile Brands, which plans to expand its reach in Europe next year. 25 out of 30 new stores can become an important area of development for the regions, including the consolidation of the franchise network.
The opening of a network of new points of sale throughout Europe is driven by the growth of the Timberland brand in the old continent and consolidates the current expansion mode of the company owned by VF in the region.
The current president of Timberland, responsible for business development in EMEA countries (Europe, Middle East and Africa),
Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart, confirmed that it is necessary to focus on opening mono-branded stores in the European region, at various points of sale that combine both a franchise and its own original stores.
The number of new points of sale, as well as the distribution by country has not yet been disclosed, but it is indicated that they will be “at the borders”, special attention is paid to countries such as France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain.
