Ukrainian shoe makers initiate the introduction of preferential taxation on the production of children's shoes

The league of Ukrainian manufacturers of footwear, leather haberdashery and fur products "Ukrshkirvzuttyaprom" proposed to tax domestic products of the light industry of children's assortment at a rate of 50% of the basic tax rate from the tax base. The corresponding proposals are contained in the draft law developed by the People's Deputy of Ukraine Anatoly Kinakh.

According to the association, LIGABusinessInform, the bill, which will be registered in the Verkhovna Rada in the near future, provides for amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine. It is proposed to introduce preferential taxation temporarily, for a period of 10 years, starting from January 1 2012 years. 

In addition, the project initiates the provision for enterprises of light industry, in case of import of raw materials into the customs territory of Ukraine in the customs regime of import for own production needs, the right to have a deferred payment of tax for 90 days from the date of their import.

It is also proposed to exempt light industry enterprises from paying VAT when importing raw materials for their own needs for the period from July 1, 2012 to December 31, 2015, according to biz.liga.net.
