The educational and production center will be created on the basis of the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design, which received funding of 100 million rubles for the creation of a similar industry center following a competition organized by the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia, - TASS reports with reference to the press service of the office of the vice-governor of the city Irina Potekhina.
The main mission of the center on the basis of the College of Technology, Modeling and Management will be "advanced training of highly qualified specialists for the footwear and leather goods industries of the light industry, corresponding to the needs of the region's leading enterprises."
