Wildberries will leave employees "in the distance"

Wildberries, the Russian online retailer, decided after leaving the pandemic period to leave more than 50% of central office employees working remotely.

Trips to the office will be provided only if necessary, for example, for business meetings, meetings or negotiations with contractors. In addition, employees will constantly work in the office, whose activities require a stationary workplace (human resources, accounting, ACh, etc.

Before switching to a remote mode of operation, about 800 workplaces were located in the Wildberries central office in Moscow on Leninskaya Sloboda Street. After the reconstruction of the office, the number of stationary workplaces will decrease to 600, which will increase the distance between workstations and increase their comfort. The office will serve 1500 employees, including 600 programmers.

A flexible approach to work hours has been used at Wildberries for several years. However, two months of remote work in connection with the Covid-19 quarantine convinced the company's management that the remote work of employees can be quite productive and "the employees of the central office can choose the most comfortable working conditions for them."

The new Wildberries office, which will appear after the restructuring, will organize comfortable workspaces with a mini-cafe with free coffee, tea, snacks, fruits, and lounge areas with video games and massage chairs. Also, the central office will continue to house an order issuing center with fitting rooms, where employees of the Internet retailer will be able to order and try on products from the Wildberries assortment.

Wildberries Is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 15 years. The geography of the company's presence covers seven countries: Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. Wildberries' turnover in 2019 grew by 88% and reached 223,5 billion rubles. The company employs over 50 people. As of December 000, 2019 thousand orders are processed daily on Wildberries. Our own network of points of issue of orders is more than 750 thousand points in seven countries.

The range of Wildberries includes over 4 million SKU products from 40 Russian and foreign brands.
