Wildberries sold 35 billion rubles worth of goods on Black Friday.

The Wildberries online store held a Black Friday sales promotion from November 22 to December 4 2019. During this period, customers ordered goods worth more than 35 billion rubles, which is three times more than last year, the company said.

The number of orders in the online store has grown 5 times and reached 10,4 million units. On the main day of the November 29 sale, more than 1 million orders were placed at Wildberries, which is two times higher than Black Friday - 2018.

As noted in the retailer’s press release, buyers from the Moscow region (ordered goods for 8 billion rubles), St. Petersburg (1 billion rubles), Krasnodar Territory (826 million rubles), Sverdlovsk (539) showed the most activity during the sale. million rubles), Nizhny Novgorod (465 million rubles) and Rostov regions (449 million rubles). The leading regions for the increase in orders in 2019 were the Republic of Karelia (+ 503%), Amur (+ 457%), Kirov (+ 407%), the Republic of Bashkortostan (+ 405%) and Chuvashia (+ 404%).

“According to our analysts, this year 3,7 million people took part in the action, this is 4 times more than last year, with every third buyer making several orders. From November 22 to December 4, Wildberries customers ordered 26 million units, which is also 4 times more than last year. On average, customers ordered 7 items, ”the Wildberries press service said.

TOP-10 of the most popular products included dresses, boots, down jackets, robotic vacuum cleaners, smartphones, designers, televisions, headphones, eau de toilette, books.

Discounts during the sale period at Wildberries reached 95%. About 3,3 million products were offered to customers in all categories: clothing, shoes, children's products, books, electronics, beauty, and many others.

Wildberries is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 15 years. The geography of the company's presence covers five countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. Wildberries' turnover in 2018 amounted to 118,7 billion rubles, in the 1st half of 2019 - 85 billion rubles. The company employs over 25 people.
