Since March 1, 2020, the rule on mandatory shoe marking has been in force in Russia - from this date the wholesale and retail sale of unmarked shoes in the country is prohibited, and the transfer of information about production, import, wholesale and retail sales to the marking system is mandatory.
As we wrote earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was preparing a bill to postpone the introduction of mandatory labeling of shoes. At present, the text of the bill is ready, where the date for the introduction of mandatory shoe marking has been postponed to July 1, and residue marking can be carried out until September 1. That is, all key dates for mandatory labeling of shoes are postponed for 4 months.
But based on the information published on A single portal on the placement of draft legal acts, the bill has not yet been sent for consideration to the Government of the Russian Federation.
Thus, at present, the previous regulation remains in force: from March 1, 2020, wholesale and retail sale of unmarked shoes in the country is prohibited, and the transfer of information about production, import, wholesale and retail sales to the labeling system is mandatory. At the same time, the import of goods purchased before March 1, 2020 is possible without marking until April 1, 2020. Whereas the marking of footwear residues produced or purchased before March 1, 2020 is possible until May 1, 2020.
