Manolo Blahnik has released a new version of shoes from the series "Sex and the City"
Last week, Manolo Blahnik introduced a new version of the iconic Hangisi shoes. The model is known for the popular TV series “Sex and the city”, in which the main character of the film Carrie Bradshaw flaunted in them, the role of which was played by an American actress, style icon Sarah Jessica Parker. Only 20 pairs of this style were put on sale.
As part of a recent partnership with Preciosa, a producer of Bohemian crystal, Manolo Blahnik has launched a limited edition series of Hangisi shoes decorated with dozens of crystals. In addition, exquisite Czech lace became another decor in the design of the new shoes.
The type of lace Blanik chose dates back to 1900. It was performed by lace master Vera Kholomechkova from the Higher School of Professional Textile Crafts and the Art School of Textile Crafts of Prague.
“Working with impeccable Czech lace and Preciosa crystals, I began to appreciate my Czech roots even more,” the designer admitted.
Manolo Blahnik presented another one-of-a-kind shoe model created in collaboration with Preciosa, which is valued at 5000 Euros. These are ankle boots decorated with 100 crystal pendants from a Preciosa chandelier and fuchsia pompons. The model will be included in the retrospective collection “Manolo Blahnik: The Art of Shoes”, and at present, on November 12, it will be displayed at the flagship store of the Czech crystal company in Prague.
