Sports style has long penetrated the "holy of holies" - in the collection of legislators of the classic style of men's shoes, including the British luxury brand John Lobb.
The other day, one of the oldest British bootmakers involved in tailoring exclusive shoes to order and making ready-made models, presented the 2017 fall season collection, which contains not only classic shoes, but also sports shoes. True, the new John Lobb sneakers remain close in style to traditional classics.
At the presentation of the new John Lobb collection, brand designer Paul Herbase gave a very short answer to the question of what inspired her to create the fall'17 collection: “water!”
She believes that water is like an “undetected hero”, it occupies a central place in everything that produces the British brand, born 1886 in the seaside town of Cornwall. John Lobb is headquartered in the countryside near the Northampton River (Northamptonshire, England).
“It makes sense to place production near the river, as all shoe makers do, because water is necessary for tanning leather. In addition, water is one of the tools that allows you to create shine for shoes. At the finishing stage, we mix water with wax, ”Herbeys shared during the presentation of the new John Lobb Autumn'17 shoe collection, during which a video of falling water was broadcast on the screens, which became the backdrop for the demonstration of new models.
A video with water is also a hint of materials that were used in the manufacture of shoes, among which there is an inversion of crocodile leather with the effect of moisture protection. This material was used to produce classic ankle boots with buckles in three colors - blue, khaki and black.
The same waterproof material was used for the updated version of low John Lobb sneakers.
The contrast of classics and sports style is pronounced in the new collection of the brand. The updated model of John Lobb sneakers are classic brogues equipped with a thick rubber sole, they are ideal for autumn rainy weather.
