Zenden Group will receive assets of shoe retail Alba, - writes RBCreferring to information from sources close to the parties to the transaction. Some participants in the shoe market also speak about the fact of the transaction. However, the head of Zenden Group Andrei Pavlov denies the purchase of Alba.
In early February, the editors of the Shoes Report also asked Andrei Pavlov about the acquisition of Alba's Zenden assets, then Andrei Pavlov answered the assumption of a possible deal in the negative and said that he was not interested in new acquisitions in retail.
The owner of the Alba network, Alexander Bayer, declined to comment on the situation at the request of RBC journalists.
However, one of RBC's interlocutors says that Zenden and Alba have created a new legal entity Kristall LLC, which will probably transfer the lease rights to 12-14 Alba stores, while the transfer of lease rights should take place before April 1. RBC managed to find the specified company. Its main owner - 80% of the shares in LLC - belongs to Maria Pecherskaya, who, according to RBC's source, is Pavlov's sister. RBC also refers to the fact that Maria Pecherskaya is indicated as a sister in photographs in an interview with a businessman to the Delovoy Peterburg newspaper. Zenden Group is a major retail operator in the Russian footwear market. The holding includes three shoe chains - Zenden, Thomas Munz and Mascotte. The last two networks were acquired by the holding in 2016. The holding also includes shoe production and shopping centers. The group's revenue in 2018 amounted to RUB 27 billion.
